HelloFresh SE Announces Intention of Co-Founder and CEO International, Thomas Griesel, to Depart
Berlin, 5 September 2025 - HelloFresh SE (“HelloFresh”) announced today that co-founder and CEO International, Thomas Griesel, does not intend to continue his management board mandate beyond 30 April 2026. He will therefore leave the management board of the company at the latest upon the expiration of his current term.
After careful consideration, Griesel informed the chairman of the supervisory board of his decision today. His departure marks the end of a remarkable tenure during which he was instrumental in building HelloFresh from a startup into a global leader in the food solutions industry. His position in the management board will not be backfilled for now.
Thomas Griesel said: “My decision to leave HelloFresh was not an easy one, but I am confident that now is the right time to step back and explore other interests outside the company. The structures and teams built over the past few years are robust and well-equipped to continue without me. When Dominik and I founded HelloFresh almost 14 years ago, I never imagined we would achieve what we have, and I am incredibly proud of what the teams have accomplished. We've taken HelloFresh public, navigated a global pandemic, expanded into numerous markets with multiple brands, and built a massive operational infrastructure - all since we started packing meal kits in our own kitchens and delivering them to friends and family. The only constant since day one has been our strong belief in truly changing the way people eat, which remains unchanged. As I transition, I will ensure we continue to execute our strategy as planned and I will work closely with the leadership team to ensure a seamless transition, confident that the company's best years are still ahead.”
