SFC Energy AG receives follow-up order worth more than CAD 5 million from long-standing Canadian Government customer for EFOY fuel cells and SFC power solutions Brunnthal/Munich, Germany, 18 March 2025 – SFC Energy AG (“SFC”, F3C:DE, ISIN: DE0007568578), a leading provider of hydrogen and methanol fuel cells for stationary, portable and mobile hybrid power solutions, has been awarded a standing offer agreement totalling up to more than CAD 5 million for the supply of EFOY fuel cells and SFC power solutions such as EFOY ProShelter, EFOY 2800, EFOY ProCabinets and EFOY H2Cabinet X-Series. In addition, an option for a two-year extension was agreed upon, which, if exercised, could further increase the total contract value. The new order was received from a long-standing customer of SFC Energy – a Government of Canada Research and Technology Organisation – specialising in clean energy solutions. The organisation is dedicated to advancing the application of clean energy and alternative energy solutions across various sectors with strong ties to industrial and institutional companies. Through its extensive network, the organization actively provides research insights and support in finding clean energy solutions, e.g. for remote power systems that need to be reliable and can operate autonomously for extended periods of time. One key element of this order is an EFOY Pro Hybrid Power Shelter. Based on SFC's methanol fuel cell technology, this power solution combines a number of EFOY Pro fuel cells in a 20-foot standard container with roof-mounted solar panels and wind turbines. The solution can provide approximately 500 W of continuous electrical power 24/7 for approximately 12 to 18 months without the need for maintenance or refuelling. This hybrid clean energy solution meets the need to operate in very remote areas – such as the northern regions of Canada – with extreme weather conditions (e.g. -40°C) in a highly reliable and low-maintenance way, and can be used for civilian as well as defence applications. Dr. Peter Podesser, CEO of SFC Energy AG: “We began our partnership with this customer almost ten years ago, initially on a much smaller scale in terms of order size. This is now the fourth contract we have been awarded, with each growing significantly in size compared to the previous one. Our growth reflects the proven performance and reliability of our fuel cell technology and solutions, and our strengthening partnership with the customer, supported by our commitment to geographic proximity – one of the three pillars of our growth strategy.” Further information on SFC Energy's Clean Energy and Clean Power Management solutions can be found at sfc.com.
