A new start in the Lüneburg region - From 1st January 2026, the newly founded transport operator MOIN (Mobilitätsinfrastruktur und -betriebs GmbH Landkreis Lüneburg) will take over local public transport in the administrative district and in the Hanseatic city of Lüneburg. This involves a complete system change: MOIN relies on the integrated software solutions of IVU.suite from IVU Traffic Technologies AG for total operational management and ticket sales. In future, bus transport in the region will be provided with around 180 vehicles - operated by both MOIN and authorised representative subcontractors. In order to manage the company efficiently from day one, MOIN will use the IVU.suite. The software creates the timetables, assures efficient vehicle workings, takes care of duty scheduling and processes the overall ticket sales. Thanks to the integrated system architecture, the data flows seamlessly between the scheduling, ticketing, control centre, personnel and vehicle dispatch modules. This not only facilitates the start of operations on 1st January 2026 but also assures long-term stable processes in day-to-day operations. The cooperation with IVU is also designed to be long term. "It was crucial for us to find an experienced partner who could deliver the overall scope of solutions from a single source, especially in view of the ambitious time schedule up to the start of operations on 1st January 2026", says Nikolas Wenzel, Managing Director of MOIN (Mobilitätsinfrastruktur und -betriebs GmbH Landkreis Lüneburg). "In addition to a seamless data flow between all modules, a convincing concept was decisive for the project implementation." There is also great anticipation at IVU: "The structuring of a new public transport operator is a very exciting task," says Bastian Dittbrenner, Head of the Public Transport division at IVU Traffic Technologies AG. "We are delighted to support MOIN with our IVU.suite and to be part of this forward-looking public transport project in the administrative district of Lüneburg. This shows us that new regional transport operators also trust our integrated solutions."
