Mai 2026 Der von der Carl Zeiss Meditec AG (ISIN: DE0005313704) aufgrund der lediglich interimistischen Wahrnehmung des Vorstandsvorsitzes durch Herrn Andreas Pecher initiierte Auswahlprozess zur langfristigen Neubesetzung des Vorstandsvorsitzes ist erfolgreich abgeschlossen worden. Der Aufsichtsrat der Carl Zeiss Meditec AG hat in seiner Sitzung am 19. Mai 2026 beschlossen, Frau Bronwyn Brophy O‘Connor, derzeit CEO der Vitrolife Group mit Sitz in Schweden, zum Mitglied des Vorstands zu bestellen und zur Vorstandsvorsitzenden zu ernennen. Vor ihrer aktuellen Position war sie in verantwortungsvollen Rollen in internationalen Unternehmen wie Thermo Fisher Scientific, Medtronic und Johnson & Johnson tätig. Der genaue Beginn der Tätigkeit hängt noch von laufenden Verhandlungen mit ihrem bisherigen Arbeitgeber ab und wird schnellstmöglich bekannt gegeben. Bis zum Amtsantritt von Frau Brophy O’Connor wird Herr Pecher weiterhin als (interimistischer) Vorstandsvorsitzender der Carl Zeiss Meditec AG fungieren. Frau Bronwyn Brophy O‘Connor verfügt über 25 Jahre berufliche Erfahrung in den Bereichen Medizintechnik und Life Sciences. Mit der Bestellung von Frau Bronwyn Brophy O‘Connor soll die bereits erfolgreich begonnene Neuausrichtung der Carl Zeiss Meditec AG konsequent fortgeführt werden. Frau Bronwyn Brophy O‘Connor wurde neben ihrer Rolle als Vorstandsvorsitzende der Carl Zeiss Meditec AG auch zum Mitglied des Vorstands der Carl Zeiss AG bestellt. Herr Andreas Pecher bleibt Vorstandsvorsitzender (CEO) der Carl Zeiss AG. Mit der Neubesetzung hat die Carl Zeiss Meditec AG den Prozess zur langfristigen Besetzung des Vorstandsvorsitzes abgeschlossen.
