EQS-Ad-hoc: MOBOTIX AG / Schlagwort(e): Sonstiges Winnweiler, 21. Oktober 2026 – Die MOBOTIX AG hat am 15.10.2026 erkannt, dass sie Opfer eines Betrugs unter Verwendung gefälschter Dokumente und Identitäten sowie Nutzung elektronischer Kommunikationswege wurde. In deren Folge wurden Gelder der Gesellschaft auf Zielkonten im Ausland transferiert.
Der Vorstand leitete umgehend unter Hinzuziehung externer Berater eine Untersuchung des Vorfalls ein und prüft derzeit mögliche Schadensersatzansprüche sowie eine etwaige Deckung durch die Versicherung der Gesellschaft. Infolge der betrügerischen Handlungen kam es zu einem Abfluss liquider Mittel in Höhe von insgesamt rund EUR 1,8 Mio. Die endgültige Schadenshöhe steht unter dem Vorbehalt einer möglichen Kompensation durch Versicherungsleistungen. IT-Infrastruktur sowie Datensicherheit sind von den kriminellen Aktivitäten nicht betroffen.
