Bitcoin Group SE's crypto holdings currently amount to EUR 356.8 million Herford, February 21, 2025 – Bitcoin Group SE (ISIN DE000A1TNV91) provides an update on the cryptocurrencies held by the company in its own portfolio. In doing so, the company provides a transparent insight into the major balance sheet item and is also responding to the investor inquiries regarding the recent negative share price development. The net crypto holdings currently amount to EUR 356.8 million, compared to EUR 245.6 million at the end of the first half of 2024 and EUR 164.8 million at the end of the 2023 financial year. The largest share is in Bitcoin (BTC), followed by Ethereum (ETH). With 5.0 million shares outstanding, the crypto assets alone correspond to a current value of EUR 71.36 per share, excluding deferred taxes. The current market price of EUR 39.75 does not reflect the value of the Bitcoin Group's balance sheet and is not connected to the company's operating performance. "We are pleased with the significant year-on-year increase in the value of our crypto assets and are more convinced than ever of their potential, not least because of crypto-friendly developments in the US. For this reason, we are maintaining our full positions in the major cryptocurrencies BTC and ETH. We would like to make explicit reference to the fact that the current negative and unsatisfactory price performance bears no relation to the development of our operating business. Irrespective of this, we are optimistic that we will achieve further long-term value growth with the cryptocurrencies we hold and that we will also be able to generate additional cash flow through new business areas," says Moritz Eckert, new CEO of Bitcoin Group SE.
