Haselünne, July 21, 2025 Berentzen-Gruppe Aktiengesellschaft: Group Half-Yearly Financial Report 2025 / Preliminary business figures as of June 30, 2025 / Update of the forecast for the 2025 financial year Berentzen-Gruppe Aktiengesellschaft, which is listed on the Regulated Market (General Standard) of the Frankfurt Stock Exchange (ISIN: DE0005201602), expects, based on preliminary operating results for the first half of the 2025 financial year available today, a normalised consolidated operating profit (consolidated EBIT) of EUR 3.2 million (H1/2024: EUR 5.1 million) and a normalised consolidated operating profit before depreciation and amortisation (consolidated EBITDA) of EUR 7.4 million (H1/2024: EUR 9.4 million). Consolidated revenues are expected to amount to EUR 79.9 million (H1/2024: EUR 88.4 million; adjustment of the previous year's figure due to changes in accounting standards). The decline in consolidated revenues compared with the same period of the previous year is attributable, on the one hand, to lower revenues in the branded spirits business in the Spirits segment of the Group. This development is due in particular to increasing consumer restraint with regard to spirits in Germany. As a result, for example, marketing campaigns at large discount food retailers were not carried out, unlike in the first half of the previous year. On the other hand, the loss of revenues from the regional mineral water business at the former Grüneberg site in the Non-alcoholic Beverages segment of the Group had a negative impact on consolidated revenues. The Berentzen Group sold the Grüneberg operating site in the second half of the 2024 financial year. The decline in consolidated EBIT – and consequently also in consolidated EBITDA – is mainly attributable to lower operating segment earnings due to lower revenues and higher marketing expenses in the Spirits segment and to costs incurred in connection with intensified marketing initiatives in the Non-alcoholic Beverages segment. In connection with the preparation of the consolidated half-yearly financial report for 2025, Berentzen-Gruppe Aktiengesellschaft is also updating its forecast for the development of the Group's earnings performance for the 2025 financial year, which was published with the annual report for the 2024 financial year on March 27, 2025. Based on the preliminary results for the first half of 2025, the Berentzen Group now forecasts consolidated revenues for the 2025 financial year in a range of EUR 172.0 to 178.0 million (original forecast: EUR 180.0 to 190.0 million; 2024: EUR 181.9 million) and a consolidated EBIT in a range of EUR 8.0 to 9.5 million (original forecast: EUR 10.0 to 12.0 million; 2024: EUR 10.6 million) and a consolidated EBITDA in a range of EUR 16.9 to 18.4 million (original forecast: EUR 19.0 to 21.0 million; 2024: EUR 19.3 million). The preliminary business figures for the first half of the 2025 financial year of Berentzen-Gruppe Aktiengesellschaft are subject to review by the Supervisory Board's Finance and Audit Committee. The final business figures as well as further information on the first half of the 2025 financial year and the updated forecast for the 2025 financial year will be published as planned on August 14, 2025 with the consolidated half-yearly financial report.
